linux.conf.au 2016 will be held at Deakin University's architecturally spectacular Waterfront Campus. Redeveloped in the 1990s from an industrial woolstore, the campus boasts original timber features and brickwork, and magnificent views of Corio Bay. The campus has modern amenities and facilities, including a stunning modern Caffe (Waterfront Kitchen), state of the art teaching facilities and on-campus book stores and medical centre.
The campus is located in central Geelong, two blocks from the Westfield Geelong shopping centre, which boasts over 100 shops, eateries, supermarkets and specialist outlets.
The venue has ubiquitous wireless coverage, several breakout spaces and plenty of eateries within easy walking distance.
Our keynote venue is the stunning Costa Hall - acoustically splendid, and often used for choral and orchestral performances.
Please note that no food or drink is allowed in Costa Hall
Venues for functions such as Penguin Dinner, Spealers' Dinner and Professional Delegates Networking Session will be announced in due course.
Geelong is Victoria's second largest city, located on Corio Bay, and within a short drive from popular beach-front communities on the Bellarine Peninsula as well as being the gateway to the famous Great Ocean Road
