The codebase anyone can edit

Project: Scribunto

Wikipedia and other Wikimedia websites now allow untrusted users to supply Lua scripts which generate markup on the server side. The scripts can be edited like a wiki page. This talk will discuss the motivations, implementation challenges and results of almost 12 months of Lua deployment. I will try to explain (perhaps not to everyone's satisfaction) why we didn't use JavaScript, or Guile, or Tcl.
