Transparent.gif About Me
I'm a Kiwi
My name is Robert Frittmann, but most people know me as ᏜᏠᎶᏠᏑ. I live in West Auckland, and I've been involved in the maker movement and the free/libre open source software community (as an end-user) for a number of years now. I currently have Lubuntu 14.04LTS installed on all my home computers, and I have an Android smartphone and tablet. I've been using Linux exclusively since about 2008. This will be my first LinuxConf, however.
Transparent.gif Availablity
happy holidays.png
I will be unavailable for lca volunteer work on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. I'll also be unavailable on the afternoon/evening of 4th January. Other than that I'll be on deck here on the wiki, on Twitter, and on the Freenode IRC channel. Merry Christmas / happy holidays everyone.
Transparent.gif Wiki Support
Transparent.gif I'm the wiki wrangler for LCA2015, and I'm happy to help delegates and presenters alike with their wiki editing questions. The fastest way to contact me for wiki support is via my talk page. Alternatively, you can contact me via Twitter. Sorry, I don't do Facebook. If I don't know the answer to your question, I'll tell you that straight away, and will then do some research to try to find an answer for you.
Transparent.gif Transport
Augur's Affordable Accomodation (West Auckland)
As mentioned above, I live in West Auckland. I will be traveling daily into the conference by car. I will have room for up to 6 other people in my 7-seater vehicle, and would be interested in car-pooling / ridesharing. If you live nearby Great North Road and would like a lift to/from the conference each day, please let me know on my talk page. A donation towards petrol costs would be appreciated. Please see this map of hotels and motels close to where I live, which I could visit to collect/drop off delegates.
Transparent.gif What I'll be doing at LCA2015
Transparent.gif I expect to be spending most of my time during lca2015 hiding away in the NOC, monitoring the wiki, adding content, helping with wiki editing questions, and providing a two-way link between the wiki and other social media, such as Twitter and IRC. Any interesting info I find about LCA on social media might end up on the wiki, and anything important I find on the wiki might end up on social media. I've also offered to operate the twitter.png @LCANetworks account on behalf of the other NOC people, providing them with feedback from Twitter.

Apart from that, I'm interested in attending the Personal Crypto & Security, TinFoilHats and Keysigning Crytoparty BoFs, and the opening presentations and Sahana presentation at the Open Source for Humanitarian Tech Miniconf. I'd also like to learn more about MediaGoblin during the Multimedia Miniconf. So much to see, so much to do! Ooh, gotta go check out Vik Olliver's presentation on Friday about 3D printing, as well! I'd love to have a play with the Arduino stuff too, but can't really afford to participate in such activities so close after Christmas. Anyway, I need to reserve some time for my volunteer duties during the conference.

Transparent.gif Social Media
Transparent.gif I'm active on social media, and you can follow me on any of these services...
