Linux Australia runs a number of open source events in Australia and New Zealand, and advocates on open source, open technology, open culture and open hardware issues.
  
* Many Linux and open source companies actively recruit at linux.conf.au. If you're nearing graduation, be sure to spruce up your resume or LinkedIn page, or GitHub account and get in contact. There is usually a [[Birds_of_a_Feather_sessions_(BoFs)]] session for Jobs - referred to as the 'Jobs BoF'.

linux.conf.au is run under the auspices of Linux Australia, Inc. Linux Australia is a member-based organisation, governed by a member-elected Council. Linux Australia runs a number of open source events in Australia and New Zealand, and advocates on open source, open technology, open culture and open hardware issues.

As part of your conference registration, you will be given an option to register as a Member of LInux Australia. Membership is free.
