After the planetarium show, there is [http://www.stardome.org.nz/whats-on/telescope-viewing/ telescope viewing available] which included amateur-grade telescopes in the courtyard, or the option of viewing through the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stardome_Observatory#Facilities Zeiss 0.5m telescope] for a small extra fee.
